Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP)

The STEP process provides a unique approach to recognizing the safety achievements of ABC member firms.

Two important criteria are taken into consideration for the award:
(1) statistical information such as incident rates, lost time, company MOD, and OSHA records during the year
(2) a safety audit consisting of 20 key components of a company safety program. This information is an important part of the scoring, and also tells the company where they stand and to what level they can "STEP up."

The STEP program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors.
