MSI Mechanical System, a full-service mechanical contractor and facilities service provider recently started working at the construction site of F.W. Webb’s nearly one million sqft. Central Distribution (CD) facility in Londonderry, N.H. According to F.W. Webb its being hailed as one of the largest facilities of its kind in New Hampshire and will replace the company’s current CD in Amherst, N.H.
“This is a lot of space that requires a lot of HVAC support,” said Brian Hooper, VP of Operations at MSI Mechanical Systems Inc. “We look forward to working with Green Leaf Construction to deliver a well heated, ventilated and air conditioned building for F.W. Webb’s nearly 200 employees that will be relocated here.”
F.W. Webb considered five locations, including some in northern Massachusetts, before choosing the 75-acre Londonderry site near the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The site next to logistics centers for UPS and Pratt & Whitney and is just down the road from FedEx.
The site is about 50 miles north of downtown Boston, MA.
"Relocating Central Distribution to Londonderry from Amherst represents a major investment in our operations and a significant commitment to our customers and manufacturing partners," said Jeff Pope, president of the F.W. Webb Company. "This huge, state-of-the-art CD facility will allow us to offer our customers even more and better products, and reach further into the Northeast. We expect it will serve us indefinitely."
The project is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2017.
