- Reference manual and nate certification guide
co-sponsored by RSES, ACCA, NATE and PHCC
As part of an ongoing educational mission,
the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), North American Technician
Excellence (NATE) and Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC),
have worked in conjunction with the RSES Technical Institute to co-sponsor the
"Residential and Light Commercial HVACR Service Technician Reference Manual/Guide
for NATE Certification."
These collaborative efforts directly reinforce the agreement between the four major
industry organizations (ACCA, NATE, PHCC and RSES) to promote and encourage a single
certification program for technicians in the HVAC/R industry.
The purpose of this comprehensive publication is two-fold: to offer solid, in-depth
assistance for those technicians preparing to take the NATE Certification Exam; and
to serve as a valuable research and reference source for technicians already in the
HVAC/R industry.
Individuals who wish to prepare for the NATE exam can identify and study the
substantial resources within the manual. However, this manual can also stand alone
as an exemplary resource for any individual currently working in the HVAC/R industry.
It includes extensive information on major service topics, and provides sensible
suggestions for troubleshooting and problem solving. It is a “must” for anyone
currently in the field or thinking about a career in the HVAC/R trades.
For more information on the "Residential and Light Commercial HVACR Service
Technician Reference Manual/Guide for NATE Certification," please contact Renee
Tomlinson, Director of Training and Testing, at 847-759-4044.
RSES is the world’s leading education, training and certification association for
heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration professionals. RSES
certification includes the CM/CMS exam series (since 1935), National Technician
Certification (NTC – since 1985), and one of the largest EPA Section 608 programs
in the industry. Founded in 1933, RSES is a non-profit organization of more than
22,000 members in 428 chapters in the U.S. and Canada, as well as affiliate
organizations worldwide. For more information on RSES call 847-297-6464 or
