DeMoulas Market Basket is chain of over 59 supermarkets in eastern New England with headquarters in Tewksbury, MA.

The supermarket chain originated as small food store in Lowell, MA that opened in 1917. By 1954, the DeMoulas founders sold their business to their sons who transformed the small Lowell based store into a modern supermarket and still continue to open stores throughout New England as of today.

In 2006, they announced the purchase of a new 500,000 square foot building to establish a refrigerated perishable storage facility which would become the NE distribution center for their local stores.
